Meet Darren Atkinson

For the sake of the future of Toronto and my two children, my thoughts are what are on all our minds as Torontonians. 

What’s to become of this city? 

Toronto is in trouble - financially, socially and spiritually . 

As an independent entrepreneur, inventor, and musician, I’ve been putting out fires my whole life. I have lived in Toronto since 1985.

I decided to run for mayor the morning after my father passed away on August 16th, 2022.

I knew it was time to walk, not talk; for very personal reasons starting with my father’s end-of-life health care.  

We’re failing to take care of the most vulnerable people and yet we are not making sound financial decisions. 

I will stop the clock ticking so we can start to think outside the box and rebuild Toronto better than it was before. 

We need honest discussions about the basics of everyday life and financial survival. 

I specialized my whole life on getting by with very little yet having big dreams and making them happen. 

I think we all have big dreams for Toronto, and I want to make them happen.
